dmtrstudies

Hello there! I am Anggi, and I am a sixth year medical student with a tiny dose of perfectionistic tendencies on the side (others would definitely argue against this). I enjoy organizing things, which includes my learning sources. This way, it is easier for me (and my friends) to access it and study anywhere (although that's very unlikely).Hence, dmtrstudies was created. Here you can find some e-books that I've gathered over the years to help me with my studies (and to save money since medical textbooks are known to be pricey, i mean- extremely expensive). Also, for my fellow juniors attending the same medical school as I am, here you can find lectures, notes, lab reports and some assignments examples (just don't blatantly copy my assignments, okay ?)Goodluck out there! xx

E-Books

I survived fours years of med school from these e-books, they are easily accessible and printable as well.

Pre-Clinic Years

This is it. The start of your life-long learning. Congratulations for you have now entered the lion's den. The only way you could get out is to endure the years and come out as a champion. For the next four years, you will have plenty on your plate. From the interesting studies of anatomy, to the pink-purple dystopian world of histology. Hurting your head trying to make biochemisty make sense, and finally understanding why your body does certain things in physiology. Sounds fun (trust me on this).Perhaps you won't enjoy learning everything. Perhaps you will find certain topics more interesting than the others. And it is completely fine. What matters is not how bright the candle burns, but how long can it stay burning.Remember to not be so hard on yourself! xx

Clinical Years

Clinical years otherwise known as clerkship is far different from the previous fours years that a medical student had gone through. During clerkship, you will be stationed in 14 different departments with varying durations of placements. From the brief two weeks in Anesthesiology or Radiology, to the never ending ten weeks of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. It is important to know that clerkship focuses more on your clinical skills, communication, critical thinking and analysis, as you are facing patients in a real-life setting. But fear not, it is still a period of learning. And like the words of my favorite mentor, "it's okay to make mistakes while you are still a student, because once you graduate, there are no more rooms for mistakes".Hang in there just a little more! xx
